Jonathan Fredin

Jonathan Fredin is a freelance photographer based in Raleigh, NC.

A paper boy by age 10, Jonathan has been involved in the news business most of his life, writing and editing for several weekly and daily newspapers in the U.S. and abroad in Ankara, Turkey. He was editor of his college newspaper at Florida Southern College, where he majored in print journalism.

In 1995 he traded his pen for a camera and discovered his true passion.

Winner of more than 50 national and state awards in photography, Jonathan’s work has appeared in numerous publications and has been shown in several art galleries.

He was a member of the Charlotte Sun staff named finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of Hurricane Charley in Punta Gorda, Florida.
